Joycrest Skating Rink has been going since 1932. Jay had a free night out there with 'The SPOT', which is a local teen program. They had pizza and snacks and a chance to try and roller skate Holly and Karen joined him later for some falling down fun.
"The Spot is a FREE, year round, drop-in recreational program for teens 12-15 years of age. School SPOT is a collaborative program between the Chemung County Youth Bureau, City of Elmira, Elmira City School District, the Town of Elmira, and the Town of Southport for teens who reside within the Elmira City School District. Summer SPOT hold a series of special events available for all teens who reside in Chemung County."
